How to have more energy during workouts?
I recently joined a gym and have been going to the different classes. Only problem is I can barely make it through the workouts. What should I eat beforehand to give me more energy?
I usually go to the gym first thing in the morning, rarely eating before I go.

- a balanced diet of carbs and protein. green tea gives you energy, drink some of that. Make sure you are eating atleast 1400 calories a day. I would eat more carbs earlier and then as the day progresses cut back and focus on protein. Eat several small meals throughout the day. Cereal and milk for breakfast, lunch eggs and a fruit or a sandwich and a fruit, snack some almonds or a cheese stick, dinner veggies and chicken or fish, you get the gist?
- Each a protein bar so you have something in your stomach and try a healthy energy drink for more energy. The healthier ones tend to give you a sustained energy level whereas mainstream energy drinks will make you crash afterwards. I found a healthy one here http://www.voernix.com/2008/07/frs.html and they give you a free trial. Works great for me.
- I've been going to the gym and pumping iron for a few months now and ya a diet and regular exercise really helps. I also tried this one product on maxgxlme.com and it helped me a lot. Instead of doing 10 reps in a set i was doing 20-25 and was getting a lot stronger a lot quicker. I also noticed I was getting more energy not just in the gym but everywhere else to. Try it out, it helped me a lot. = ]
