I'm looking to better myself fitness wise, what equipment is best?

I have a maximum of $200 right now. I'm not looking for really anything muscle building, but more fat and calorie burning. I'm kinda pudgy, so any ideas on equipment that could be useful. I can stick to a workout plan if it involves that and i do run but that gets boring sometimes.

  1. A good pair of running shoes with arch support inserts can be had for well under $200. Start out walking, then jogging the running. You're not going to get much of a gym membership for $200, so fageddaboutit.
  2. Use it to get a gym membership. Then you will have all kinds of equipment to choose from and you won't have to buy any.
