Fitness equipment for the home?

Whats the best thing to buy for myself to help loose some of the belly that I have recently put on thing is im 21 and 6ft2/ 6ft3in and on the scales at home im now fluctuating between 15 and a half and 16 stone which although being tall and wide at the top (pectoral area) and being wide at the top of my back when you look at me when im walking around you wouldnt think I had a belly lol so I just wondered whats the best piece of equipment to buy to use at home to help me loose at least some of my belly to feel a bit fitter and better about myself overall thanks

  1. Muscle is heavier than fat i am 5' 8" tall weigh 15 stone and don't have any noticable fat but i am "clinically obese"(?) just go for a power walk every day,this may help
  2. Unless you are serious about using the equipment long term, I honestly wouldn't waste your money. I was about 2 stone overweight and just by walking to and from work everyday (about 4 miles in total) I lost the weight in about 4 months. If you have stairs at home you can do step ups on the bottom two steps, and just walk (briskly) as regularly as you can! It is good for your brain too!
  3. if you have to buy some equipment go for a cross trainer, you get a real good cardio workout without putting too much stress on your knees and ankles. you can also work upper body muscles if you push and pull hard on the handles. it's quite hard to begin with 2 minutes and you're shagged but now i can manage up to 50 mins per session. good luck xx
