Body Building??

I'm 14 I've decided to take up body building but i don't want to go to a gym at the moment I'm doing 50 press ups and 50 sit ups and then a 1 mile run all this twice a day is this right.

  1. Bodybuilding is simply putting on muscle. Your press ups and situps will not put on muscles (at least not as much to be considered bodybuilding). It will make you more "toned". Running will just give you a less body fat percentage. While running is good (not against it), it's not a body builder priority (at least not most of the time). Running actually impedes muscle growth to a point. So your particular regime at the moment will only make you more "toned" and yes healthier. Go for it. But if your considering bodybuilding (building muscle) you will need to enter a gym (heavy weights), eat more (protein, protein, protein) and run ALOT less (unless your going through a "cutting cycle"). Hope this helps somewhat
