- Your question is rather vague. But i will give you an honest answer. There is no "best" fitness equipment out in the market to buy. This is because every retailer of fitness/sports equipment, think their products are the best. So this causes a problem. "So what is the best?", i hear you ask. The best fitness equipment in the world is your body and your mind. If you see your body as one great "fitness machine" and set yourself simple goals, then you can become, by far, a fitter person. Exercises such as jogging, running, circuit training, and swimming will very much increase your fitness levels. Do these activities twice a week for an hour or slightly more, and you will feel the benefits of your training. Set yourself a small timetable, ie; running on a Tuesday and jogging on a Thursday, as well as any sport you like (golf included, as this execrises the mind in a stress free environment) on a weekend. Just be careful not to push it. Work hard, but not too hard. As you feel yourself getting fitter, you will slowly become addictive and soon be entering many a fitness competition.
