Can anyone give me a good site for exercise ball workouts? I did a search, and all I could find were sites selling exersice balls. I already have a ball, and all I know how to do on it is the crunch. How else can I use it? I need pictures. I'm not good at reading how to do a workout, I don't know certain muscle names, and the terms most people use when working out. That site has nothing. Hello? Anyone out there? lol
What size exercise ball should I use? Hello, well I'd like to start using an exercise ball so I can make my ab routine and upper body exercise routine more challenging. The problem is I have no idea which size ball to get. I'm 4'11 and I don't think weight is a factor in deciding the size. Also where can I find ball workouts online. I need Stamina® Crystal Edge, Exercise Ball Workout Wall Chart (05-1065-Chart? I bought the ball and work out sheet together, but i have lost the chart to show what i need to be doing in the workout. I found a couple of sit that show it but i can print it out. can anyone help me please. i don't want to have to pay for something i already bought. What's an easy and effective workout routine with an exercise ball? I just had a baby 5 months ago and my body is, well not exactly in shape anymore.... I want to get back into shape using the exercise ball I just bought. What are some things to do that will help me to tone my tummy, sides, hips, legs and arms? balance/exercise ball? a couple weeks ago i read an article in a magazine (one of the teen ones, like cosmogirl or seventeen or something) about this exercise ball thing that i think beyonce is supposed to use to get her abs. it looks like half of an exercise ball, with a grippy board attached to it, so you can do ball workouts and balance workouts if you flip it over. the problem is, im not exactly sure what magazine i saw it in or WHAT it's called!!! ive searched archives and forums on a lot of magazine sites but cant find ANYTHING!!! so if anyone read this article and knows what im talking about and can help me out id really appreciate it. thanks!
Is there anything I can use in place of an exercise ball in my workout? I'm doing "Turbo Jam - Kickin' Core!" and it requires a exercise ball for the last part of the workout.. However, I do not have one. :( Is there something that I can use instead of an exercise ball? Do you think a lot of the moves can be done without the exercise ball? Exercise Ball??? Would subsituting a medicine ball for exerice with a regular kids giant bounce ball be okay? Would it still work the same? Side "note" question: How many sets/repitetions would be enough for an abs workout?
About the exercise ball..is it "really" useful? I've never done any work outs using the exercise ball, in fact i'm a bit skeptical about it. compared to the same workouts like ab crunches and reverse curls, do they give more significant results if the ball is used? if it doesn't then i might just stick to exercise mat alone.
what are good ab and butt workouts on a swiss ball? im 5`9 170 .. i have the right size i love being curvy and full figured...but i really want to get toned and feel more comfortable and be able to wear all the clothes i want without wrrying about a lil fab here and there..lol so if u guys know any good exercises on the swiss ball please let me know!
I'm looking to purchase an exercise ball... what size? I recently purchased some workout DVDs that require me to have an exercise ball... and upon looking to buy one, I've noticed that they come in several different sizes. Should I exercise with knee injury? I injured my knee yesterday during hockey, I have a rather large bruise, and the area is quite swollen. It doesn't hurt too much, but it is tender to touch. I haven't exercised in about a week because I have been studying for exams. Exercise is powerwalking, and ab workouts on exercise balls. Should I start my exercise regimen again tomorrow? Or wait until I am fully covered? I just feel so unhealthy when I don't exercise.

When beginning a new exercise program, is it true that you may gain weight in muscle first, and then lose fat? I recently started my own exercise program. I spend about 5 days a week at the gym and usually exercise between 1 (a short workout) to 2 and a half hours. I usually run, bike, do the stairmaster, work with an exercise ball & medicine ball for tone, and lift weights. I gained about 3-4 pounds the past couples weeks---is this likely to be muscle? And will the fat I'm looking to lose start coming off soon after? As far as diet goes, all I've done is cut back on junk and try to keep all my portion sizes logical---but nothing too serious.
what is the best way to loose weight for a middle school teen? I want to loose some weight because i have big thighs and my stomach is a little chubby. Is the exercise ball hurting or helping me? I just bought a 65mm exercise ball (because I'm about 5'7" & ~118lbs) yesterday because I want to workout my abs and try to get AT LEAST a flatter stomach. I never have worked-out like this before and am not active. I seriously don't do anything (yet I'm freakin' skinny...) but I'm want to become active. I tried out my ball yesterday and did ab crunches and I CAN ONLY DO 6 reps and they were painful! What is hurting IS my stomach though, I feel it in each crunch. Am I moving too fast? Should I keep doing 6 reps a day and add 2 more reps each week or something? Should I not even use the ball and start at regular (floor) crunches or something? I don't know if I'm hurting myself or helping myself. I have no knowledge in this. Give me advice and answers, please please. Also, it would be nice if anyone has a exercise routine they could recommend me doing by personal experience, from a website, or anywhere! Whatever helps/works.

Order of exercise routine.. PLEASE HELP! I am so confused.? This is the current "order" of my exercise routine: 1)Crew practice 7-9am 2)Cardio for about 20 minutes, such as running or biking 3)Stretching for increased flexibility 4)Core workout on exercise ball 5)Wall sit, lunges, squats Is this order alright? Exercise plan using ball, band and light weights? hi please help if you can. I've got a resistance band, medium strength, a fitness ball and 4lb weights. Safe exercise after laparascopic surgery? I had an ovary removed 30 days ago. I have begun my normal activities, as well as some short walks after being completely sedentary for 3 weeks. I want to work my way into some ab exercises along with increasing my cardio workouts. I had not been doing ab exercises prior to the surgery, but I had been walking 30-40 minutes daily on my treadmill. I have to baby my back. What type exercises should I begin with? Love Handles? gag. & Exercise ball questions? So. this might sound weird but what is a workout that can specifically target the ELIMINATION of love handles? i just don't understand why they are there. i am friends with a girl that weighs probably 95 lbs, shes around 5ft and she still has little ones. I have the suckers, and i myself am not overweight. at least i dont think i am, i'm between 5'3-5'4 and weigh around 133. I'm happy with everything except them, why are they there? sorry for it being so long. but one more question- excersize balls. are they really beneficial? Cardio before or after mild weight training? I'll be doing ab and upper body workout using an exercise ball, but should I be doing my cardio portion before or after the weight training portion, or both? if so, how strenuous should my cardio be? walk before, run after?
How do I lose this "flab"? I workout regularly (treadmill, pilates, exercise ball workouts, etc.) and I still do not have the tightness that I desire. What exercises or exercise program can I follow at home to overall tone my body? I do need to lose some weight, (about 10 lbs) but I really need to tone my muscles overall. I think I can manage the weight loss, but I really need some direction on how to proceed with an exercise plan. I've seen several video programs available, namely Slim in 6, bit I'd rather invest in workout equipment, such as balls, elastic tubes, etc. instead of videos. I just need to know what to buy and how to use them. I would really like some specific suggestions, and some good web links would be great! Also, we already have a set of free weights and a treadmill that my husband uses. But I don't want to build bulk!
Exercise at work or at home? I work a full-time office job, then when I go home I cook and clean. I hardly ever find time for a workout routine, but I am willing to exercise while I'm doing other things (at my desk or at home). I work in a cubicle and I have those hand grippy thingys, but that isn't nearly enough exercise to satisfy me. I try to get up and walk and stretch as much as I can though. When I get home I have free weights, exercise ball, and jump rope, but hardly ever get to use them during my busy schedule. Can someone please help me find other things to do to burn calories???
Exercise routine for female teen? Hi! I'm 16, stand at 5'9, and weigh 140-145. I've started up on my diet again, but I need an exercise routing to go along with it.. here's my plan (changes slightly everyday) : Breakfast: Organic cereal (high in fibre), Milk (1 or 2%) Morning snack: Fresh fruit Lunch: spanish rice & steamed vegetables (brocolli, colliflour, carrots, ect.) Mid-afternoon snack: Nature Valley Fibre Source granola bar (high in fibre, low in fat and sugar) Supper: Depending on whatever my dad cooked.. he usually makes a seperate dish for my mom and i, who like to eat healthy, or adjust the main dish Bedtime snack: Fruit, Low Fat popcorn, or something else healthy As for exercise, volleyball season just ended.. but I still have 1.5 hours of gym every school day. I have access to a few household workout equipment, such as an exercise ball,5 pound dumbells, lots of workout videos (bellydancing), stepper machine, step stool for aerobics. I live in a small town, no access to gym.

Ab and chest workouts? Im happy with my arms but really not seeing much from my chest and abs. I do a home workout i.e. no bench or exercise ball just some dumbbell weights and me. So what besides a push up and a crunch can I do to work these muscles in desperate need of bulk? Ok I am 6' and weigh 170lbs with some pudge on my midsection that I gained after being 128lbs didn't mean for it to happen just wanted to be at a healthy weight so how do I work that off? Abs Workouts? I'm 13 and I do the '8 minute abs' workout on youtube and I do 6 different exercises on an exercise ball and 50 push ups a day. Would it be better if I did this every 2nd day and rest every other day to get abs or to do these exercises every day?
Exercise equipment. help!? :-[? I have been looking around for something to purchase such as en exercise ball, step, weights, things like that-- anything BUT treadmills and exercise bikes. (i'm tight on money right now.) I have a couple workout videos, but they are starting to get boring for me. I want some kind of "prop" rather than having to stare at a TV/computer screen. What are some affordable, yet most effective types of equipment that i can look into? Maybe that i could do an hour before bed or first thing when i wake up in the morning. I'd like to tone up and lose a couple lbs (mostly tone up) just a bit before *dun dun dun* BEACH/POOL TIME in the summer; lol. I work two jobs so going to the gym is out of the question. Exercise- how do you do that? Hey all. I know how to exercise but I keep finding all of these excuses not too. Right now, I am defiently not obese, I'm not even fat. However, I would like to lose a bit of weight around my mid section, thighs, arms... well everywhere. I've got an exercise ball, and I love doing push ups and lunges. I'm not sure what else to do with it. I can't afford a gym membership, so is there any more at home exercises you can recomend? Also, I live in an appartment building with 11 floors, so would walking up and down those stairs proove to be a good cardio workout? Can I walk up the stairs or should I go faster for it to work? What kind of results should I expect from climbing stairs?
I need inspiration for my diet! LoL? Ok, I know I've said that I was going to re-start my diet before, but I've been binging on all the food I want, because I won't be able to have for the next few weeks, because I'm really really starting my deit TOMORROW! I just need help! Because, I'll be so good for like 3 days, then I'll binge. This is what I eat when I'm on the diet. Breakfast-I eat as much melon or other fruits as I want(till I'm sastified), (I'm thinking about eating a snack at this time, since I get hungry, so any snack ideas?),lunch-bowl of fruit and bowl of veggies, and dinner-sometimes I'll have fruit,fish,veggies,Slimfast, or other stuff. I also drink 6 20oz bottles of water, and 6 cups of green tea. Should I start taking apple cider vinegar too? How does my diet sound? OH! I almost forgot exersice. I'm thinking about cardio 20-45 minutes each day, plus an exercise ball strengthing workout. Any suggestion? I'm young standing at 5" 5' and 127ish lbs. I feel soooooooo huge, so I want to lose at LEAST 5 lbs in 3 weeks(or 2). I want to loose 10lbs all together though.
Is My Exercise Routine Any Good? Hi there people, I hope that you can help me with this. I have written down some exercise routines for myself to do at home and I have quit a few machines etc and DVD's to work on at home and I would really like to make use of all of these and get the best from them. Below you will see the routine that I have done for myself. I would like your expert opinion on what I have set out and if the routine would be of any benefit for myself. And oh yeah, I am trying to loose weight and I have the diet sorted. Thanks for all of your help in advance. WEEK ONE: Monday:- Ball workout for 30mins., 30 mins on Treadmill incline at 4% Tuesday:- Cardio DVD 50 mins, 30 mins Pilates Wednesday:- Day Off Thursday:- Ball 30 mins, Weights 30 mins Friday :- Cardio DVD 50 mins, Pilates 30 mins Saturday :- Treadmill 30 mins, Weights 30 mins Sunday:- Day Off Week 2 is very similar but i use the stepper.
Cardiovascular exercise....how often? Normally, I do 30 minutes of cardio every other day. It's step aerobics combined with strength training using resistance tubes. Should I increase my workout to daily cardio or is it more beneficial non consecutive days? I've been considering adding a exercise ball to my fitness plan on the days that I'm not doing cardio. I'm 5"9, 145 lbs. My diet is 1200 calories per day. I would like to lose 15 lbs.
weight training on a ball? I have to decided to add weights into my workout routine, but I want to try something that I have seen other people at my gym doing. stability ball exercises? What are some of the best exercises to do on a stability ball for abs? I am trying to lose flab from having children, will doing this type of workout help? Yes, I know I need to eat right too! I only need to lose about 10 lbs, but the majority of it is in my belly and my hips and thighs. Any other suggestions you might have would be great!
I got one of those stability, exercise balls...? I got it for christmas and it was supposed to come with a dvd of instructions, but it was mysteriously missing :( does anyone know of any good exercises that I can go with it? (P.S. Stability Ball? I've got a 65cm stability ball, and I like using it..I got a pamphlet with the ball when I bought it, I've done some of the exercises, and I'm not very good at them. I'm good at doing sit ups on them, I can really feel it working when I do sit ups with it. But when I do other exercises it seems like it's not working or..idk? Does anyone have good advice on using the ball, or workouts they really enjoy with it. Thanks.

Lower ab workouts or exercises?? Does anyone know of a workout that targets just lower abs. My upper stomach is fine, but I would like to get better core strength, and better lower abs. A good ABS exercise Tape/DVD (need reccomendation)? I lift about 3 times a week, jogging to and from the gym (4 miles total). I'd like to be able to add an abdominal only workout to the mornings I don't have time to make it to the gym. Problem: I have no idea which of the bazillion abdominal exercise tapes out there are actually good. Anyone here have any recommendations on tapes you know are good (from personal experience or recommended somehow)? I don't want a 'swiss ball' abs exercise tape or anything like that; just something that I can do in the mornings (half-hour workout or so). Thanks for your help Problem Solvers.
fitness workout with weighted ball? I saw a commercial or something like that where the workout incorporates using a weighted ball that has a handle. It had some specific name and was something that would be good as a workout class, but I can't remember the trade-name for it. The ball is just a small ball, maybe 5 inch diameter with a handle on it. The workout looks like it is more for sculpting and strength but would obviously get your heart rate up too. Does anyone know what that exercise program is called?

Turbo Jam: Get on the Ball & Maximum Results? I used to hate exercising, but now that I've discovered Turbo Jam, I love to workout! I have the basic package and was wondering if anyone could offer some insight into which of the two workouts (Get on the Ball or Maximum Results) I should get. Or do you think I should get the Turbo Jam Live or possibly the Turbo Jam Deluxe package. I'd prefer the package that has the least amount of squats and lunges, as that's my least favourite part of Cardio Party 1. Also, I'm not really in shape, I can do both Cardio Party 1 and the 20 Minute Workout, but I had to slowly build up to it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
diet help.? I am 17 1/2 years old and i weigh 138 and i am 5'5''. i want to lose about 15 pounds just to look better. my cheeks are really really chubby and i desperately want to lose weight. is there anyone who has been in this same problem? i want a plan laid our for me to follow. i cannot run because i have a weak knee, and i cannot also walk on the treadmill. i do however, have a ballet workout video and a exercise ball. also, how many calories should i eat, what foods should i avoid, and how much time should i exercise(minutes) and how many days in the week?
Are core exercise good to lose weight?? i want to lose weight 20+ pounds this summer and i need some good exercises i have a core kit workout it came with a stability ball and a dvd will this plus a good diet help me lose weight
Has anyone tried the Elongated Verso Stability ball? I can't find a review for this ball. They say that this shape ball "limits side to side motion for a more stable workout." I've never used any type of ball and am a complete, non-exercising beginner. I happen to like the way it looks and thought it might be a good choice, but I don't want to defeat the purpose of working with a ball.
Lower ab workout on the stability ball ?? I lost the chart that came with my ball in our move. I can remember all the upper ab and oblique exercises but I'm blanking on the lower ab stuff. Anyone out there use a stability ball for ab work? This is one of the very few ways I can work my abs due to low back issues. Even some of the standing ab work doesn't work for me because I also have a problem with my right knee. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Good exercises? I need effective: a. Leg/Thigh workouts b. Ab workouts both should be easy and shouldn't require anything (ie. exercise ball or weights) ALSO: good splits exercises - I have done them in the past, and am very close, but need that extra boost. Best balance exercise equipment? I currently use a stability ball in my workouts, but would like to add some balance-specific elements, preferably something that could help with balance and stability in ice hockey. I'm currently considering a Bosu Ball, a Balance Disc, or a Balance board. Any thoughts?

Anybody know a good website for doing exercises at home? I'm looking for toning exercises for abs, legs, arms etc. and maybe some for an exercise ball. I can't seem to find a good web site though. All I keep finding are ones with workout equipment, but all I have are 3lb hand weights, a tension band, and an exercise ball. Help!
At Home WORKOUT??? i need something that i can do indoors w/ nothing more than an exercise ball and weights (u don't have 2 use these in ur answer tho) and that gives you a pretty decent workout thanx sooo much!!!!
What types of exercises can be done with hand weights or a mat and an ab roller or the "ball" used for abs? i joined a small gym yesterday which is basically a "learn for yourself" place. It has good equipment and is a very small place however I dont know anything about hand weights or the ab exercises. There are no trainers there. I did see mats, hand weights (all sizes), one ab roller thingy, and the "round balls" used for abdomens but i'm not sure how to use them in the proper way or what exercises can be done using those things. Can somebody help and tell me how to start up a good average workout routine?
Looking for a better ab workout for better definition and strength? right now my abs are fine, almost got an 8 pack but they jus dont pop out the way I want them to. My workout is: (on the floor) straight leg raises- 3*12/ with increasing weight up to 20lbs, Crunch 3*12/w increasing weight up to 30lbs, regular leg raises 3*15, swiss ball crunches 3*15/w increasing weight to 20lbs and the ball exercise, forget what its called, I put my feet on the ball and go into pushup stance and hold 3*1:30 minutes each set,all 4 days a week, am I doing to much so im going backwards or what, kinda ticks me off, so if youve got any workouts that are harder than that, that youd recommend, please reply, and i jus dont know if Im doin to much
Toning up? I need help!? On average how long does it take for results to show when toning up? I think I bought every workout tape available at Walmart, LOL. Is it best to work out 3 times a week doing about six 30 minute tapes? Also, i'm like...4'11''-5'0" and about 120lbs but my stomache and arms are flabby and I notice a small amount of cellulite on my thighs. And my friends say I have 'back fat' LOL how or rather, what exercises are there for removing that?? Which exercises work best? Taebo or the workout ball thingy? I also have dance workout tapes too. Would it be better if I workout at least 30 minutes to an hour every day for two months? (I hear that's how long it takes for results to show)
Started a new diet / exercise program. Was hoping for opinions/suggestions.? I'm 5'6 and about 150 llbs. Although I dream of having a flat tummy, I do want to be healthy, too. My friend and I made up the rules together, and I wanted to see what you all thought. Gym everyday 1 hour at least 30 min cardio workout remaining time: sit ups on ball, lunges with dumbells, weights. No dessert; Ever. ONE plate of food at mealtimes Water, milk and tea ONLY! (no juice/soda) NO drinking (alcohol). If one person breaks rule, both suffer: meaning: both run 3-mile course Snacking: Fruits/Veggies and Luna Bars only. NO meals after 8:30 Drinking water whenever is encouraged
Basketball training? I intend on working out this summer to better my basketball skills, and my body as well. I'm 10 cm away from 6 ft, and a speedy ballhandler. Problem is, my legs are fat (compared to the soccer players in my school). What exercises should I do that could reduce the fat in my legs/thighs? Also, are there any exercises/workouts that could improve my vertical jumps? I heard that you can dunk the ball even under 6 ft if you put lots of effort into it. I hear jump roping, and having low weight improves your jump...? Also what exercises should I do to increase my quickness/speed? Excuse the amount of questions :P
Best ab and leg routines for quick results? I am going on vacation during the first week in August. Without having to pay for a gym membership, I want try to have great looking abs and legs in time for that vacation. Does anyone have a suggestion for a routine that would help? I do have some free weights (6 lbs) and an exercise ball. I have read other answers to similar questions, but no one has mentioned the specifics of their workout (i.e. how many minutes, how many reps, how to do the exercise). Also, how much water do you have to drink each day to help tone your body? Do you have to drink it all in one sitting? Can you drink one bottle at a time in one sitting or does it have to be spread out (like 1 bottle an hour)? Thanks for all of your help!
Working Out (Dumbbell Question)? I am a pretty fit guy, but definitely not muscular. I am on a mission to get ripped, but I need the proper tools. I don't have much money and I don't want to go to the gym, so I am going to need something cheap that I can use at home. As far as I'm aware, I can pretty much get a full body workout with just dumbbells and a bench (does the bench need to be adjustable?) So, what I need are dumbbells in the range of about 3-20 pounds or so. I'm needing advice on a workout that i can do at home with a treadmill and stability ball? I am overweight and out of shape, and am trying to get into the routine of exercising, but all those videos and stuff are just too hard. I have a hard time doing alot of the moves, and keeping up is next to impossible. I know one day, i will be able to do them, but i am just starting, and doing those are hurting my esteem more than helping. I have a treadmill and a stability ball, but find myself losing intrest after a few days. Any suggestions?
What is the best way to tone the belly? I already go the gym and do cardio and some weight training about 3 to 4 times a week..also do the exercise ball but I'm not getting the results I want yet. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Any info would be great from you workout kings and queens!!!

AAAAHHH:O? i need to get a firm belly by middle of June. im not fat @ all, i just need to get firm and build muscles on my arms. i have a 5 lb weight and 3 lbs weights. im 5'4" age: 19 stomach is 34" and my weight is 113 - 114 (somewhere around there) here is my excersises: 40 sit up's on exercise ball 40 sit up's on floor (my elbows touching my knees) lift 3 lb weights (bicep curl) 55 times lift 3 lb weights from top of my shoulder to the air(above my head) - 15 times then for my legs i do squats 10 on 1st rep, then REST, then 10 more (holding 5 lb weights). does this sound like it would help me tone? should i do more? if so, what and how many? and when i get done with iteverything, i feel like its been a really good workout, but then the next day, i dont feel sore or anything. ive been doin this for about 2 days now. 2day will be my 3rd. i walk and job about on average ummm, 3 day a week ok, i ONLY posted this question 2 freakin times! Can I Lose 10 pounds in one week? I weigh 215 right now and need to be at 206 in a week, I realize that this is UNREALISTIC, but is it possible, if not what is a REALISTIC time frame for 10 pounds. I have purchased an exercise ball, and I am doing ab, and oblique work out every otherday. I am also running 6 miles a day and riding a staitionary bike 3-5 miles a day. In addition to all of this while I am running and riding, I am wearing a "sauna suit", I drink pleaty of water during the workout, and drinking a gallon of water when I am not at the gym. My calorie intake is around 1500/ day and I make sure that my protien is there everyday, salt is low, processed flour and sugars are low or non-existant.
